Blossoming Communication is a pediatric private practice dedicated to serving children in Long Beach, California, and neighboring cities, including Norwalk, Cerritos, Artesia, Lakewood, Hawaiian Gardens, Santa Fe Springs, La Habra, Whittier, and La Mirada. We provide speech-language therapy for children of all ages, offering sessions in your home, daycare, preschool, or at our clinic. Both individual and group therapy options are available, along with engaging Speech Camps during the summer months. For added convenience, we also offer teletherapy services for residents throughout California.

Meet the Owner
Maria Obenhaus is a pediatric speech-language pathologist from California. She received her Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Northridge. She is a California licensed and credentialed speech-language pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and a member of the California Speech Hearing Association.
Maria has over 10 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist with experience working in early intervention, schools, clinic, and teletherapy. She has worked with toddlers through high school-age students in the areas of articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency (stuttering), voice, and pragmatics (social skills). Maria has a passion for providing early intervention services. She partners with parents to provide the tools necessary to support each child's individualized communication needs, as the child's skills blossom and grow.
